Eco-cide and Destruction of valuable water resources in Northern Range (Cumaca) continuing with pace

This is what you have to thank Penelope Beckles, Elenor Dick-Forde Gaynor, Conrad Enil and Patrick Manning for. So hungry are they for quarry aggregate - they only see economic values - that they do not see the long term social-environmental costs. This is proof T&T is on anti-sustainable development path.
They are cutting the mountains down and filling the rivers. Gone are the fish. Gone is the usefulness of the water. They say 'no worries', they will build desalination plants - oh dear God - may Trinis rise and end this wicked and destructive rule.
Our children will rue these days.

  1. What is going on in this country is so frightening, disguised as development, we are destroying everything natural. Nature’s environmental protection is being raped so we could build some concrete structures that would further contribute to the many problems we face daily including flooding and the lack of water. More frightening than this is the people who continue to defend this madness because they get ah wuk or they get ah lil money in dey pocket, blind loyalty is getting us nowhere. We need a govnt who would consult us on development plans and listen to our concerns, rather than just tell us that they have our interest at hart, and they know what they are doing.

  2. It should be possible to bring a civil suit against the people who permitted/passed this legislation. Citizens should have access to clean water and Politicians should not tamper with naturally occuring sources of fresh water...Unless of course they WANT to create a Wasteland in the North and Smelters in the South. The PNM is hell bent on destroying the country in every sense of the word...
